On my return to Aussie for a month, I was greeted with perfect weather and great surf
and in the name of cross training, I took advantage of both of these awesome conditions!!!!!
Variety definitely is the spice of life!!! On my homeward stretch of a good hard training ride
it seemed as though someone didn't like the fact that I was riding my bike
as free as a bird, while they were sentenced to being stuck in the seat of their car!!
It appeared that to show me how unhappy they were with me being out in the fresh sea air
and them stuck in their air conditioned four wheeler,
they would hurl a rather large missile out of the window!!!
Fortunately the RAPG missed me [Really Angry Persons Grenade ]I thought,
like any good freedom fighter, that I could catch them at the next intersection
and speak to them in my own version of Swahili!!!!!!X2!!###@@X.
Fortunately they had managed to escape and I did the old count to 20!
I managed to calm down and was once again enjoying my beautiful surroundings....however
a couple of days later, same spot, same four wheeler,
and once again another RAPG!!!!! As Maxwell Smart would say, MISSED ME BY THAT MUCH!!
Now a language lesson is inevitable!
I’m sprinting off to the war zone when, looking ahead, I see them launching another
attack as they hurl yet another RAPG out the window! Very poorly trained,
I thought as this one missed me by at least 50 meters!
Maybe it was due to detonate as I road past!
Fortunately it didn’t, and now my Sherlock Holmes correspondence course is paying dividends!!
It’s not an RAPG at all, its friendly fire being launched in the form of a paper delivering mum!!!!
Man; did I feel stupid...............
After being back in Europe for a week I headed with the team to Spain we managed
to do really well as a team and won the teams classifications.
My team mate also took the overall Tour! The Spanish have the craziest way of life,
they start eating dinner at 9:30 pm and that's early for them!
It's a funny way of life if you have an appetite like mine because
by the time they start their dinner I’m on my third!!! Ha!
It was great to win a stage of a tour in Italy last week;
we all worked really great as a team so it was extra special for me to come away with the win.
